Hello in Mandarin:

Ni hao ➔ Hello

Hā luō ➔ Hello (informal, between friends)

Wéi ➔ Hello (informal, when answering the phone)

Wéi ni hao ➔ Hello (formal, when answering the phone)


Goodbye in Mandarin:

Zài jiàn ➔ Good bye / See you again

Zhàn shí zài jiàn ➔ Bye for now

Bái bái ➔ Bye bye
